Tsunami: 100,000 Dead and Counting

The death toll continues to rise. Last word that I just heard on the radio was 100,000 and its only day three of the aftermath. Give it another week of recovery efforst, then double the number of deaths from the flood, given the numbers expected to die from disease, lack of water, etc, and you're talking an easy quarter million souls.

These things can be tricky. If you are worried about your donation going directly to tsunami victims (less admin costs of course) you might consider Mercy Corps, which offers you the choice of where you want the money to go. I didnt see this option at Red Cross, which may mean that the dollars could end up in a general fund.
